Interventional Cardiology Procedures — MediHeart Medical Center Güzelyurt

At MediHeart Medical Center Güzelyurt Cardiology Department, comprehensive interventional diagnostic and treatment services for coronary, peripheral vascular, structural heart diseases, and heart rhythm disorders are provided by Prof. Dr. Osman Beton. Below you can find a detailed list of procedures performed in our department. Which procedure is suitable for you will be decided by your physician following the examination and diagnostic tests.

Coronary (Heart Vessel) Interventional Diagnostic and Treatment Procedures

Nonsurgical interventional procedures, mostly performed via the wrist (radial access), for the diagnosis and treatment of narrowings and blockages in the heart vessels.

  • Radial (wrist vessel access) angiography and stenting procedure

  • Chronic total occlusion interventions (opening long term completely blocked heart vessels)

  • Chronic total occlusion interventions via antegrade and/or retrograde approach

  • Opening of the heart vessel with Coronary Dynamx bioadaptor (new generation stent with low recurrence rate)

  • Heart treatment vascular surgeries as an alternative to coronary bypass surgery

  • Coronary rotablation procedure (shaving off narrowings)

  • Intravascular lithotripsy procedure (breaking calcifications in narrowings)

  • Interventional treatment of bypass vessels

  • Ligation of side branches causing steal phenomenon in bypass vessels

  • Coronary drug coated balloon procedure

  • Closure procedure of congenital coronary fistulas

  • Intravascular ultrasound imaging procedure

  • Intravascular pressure and flow values

  • Determination of the severity of competitive narrowings detected on CT using the HeartFlow (artificial intelligence) method

Interventional Diagnostic and Treatment Procedures for Peripheral Vessels

Interventional treatments for narrowings, blockages, and circulatory disorders in neck, arm, leg, aorta, pulmonary, and renal vessels.

  • Thoracic aorta (descending aortic vessel) angiography and stenting procedure

  • Pulmonary (lung vessel) angiography and stenting procedure

  • Renal artery (kidney vessel) angiography and stenting procedure

  • Renal denervation therapy (resistant advanced level)

  • Peripheral drug coated balloon procedure

  • Peripheral drug coated stent procedure

  • Peripheral bioresorbable stent procedure
